Carpenter Family | Burnet, TX

Oh. My. Goodness. THIS FAMILY!

Jessi and Kaiman brought their boy Tex to their family photo shoot and it could not have gone better.

Texi is a rescue dog and spent some time in the shelter before finding his forever home, so he's a little jumpy and wary with strangers. Luckily I some experience with sensitive puppers and (more importantly) brought treats!

We even got some beautiful sits out of him! Even though he's so handsome, we also got some pictures with just Jessi and Kaiman.

Jessi came to my session in March with Teryl as the best friend/helper and she is legitimately SUCH a joy to be around.

I didn't know Kaiman before this, but he was one of the most relaxed husbands of our fall mini-sessions. It's possibly because he wasn't wrangling tiny humans but also I think he and Jessi love being around each other and just enjoy spending time together

I'm SO hopeful that I'll get to continue to photograph the Carpenters, especially if they bring Tex. Although it will be hard not to sneak him into my car to bring him home to Austin with me 🥰

P.S. Wrangling treats, a squeaker to get Tex's attention, and my camera was TOUGH, so this shot actually cut the front part of his little right paw off originally. I used Photoshop's generative fill to correct it—how do you think it turned out!
