Ella S. | Downtown Austin

It's a really good friend who is willing to get up early on one of her only days off, drive downtown, and sit patiently while you test out lighting scenarios in a glass room at the library. Ella is that friend indeed.

It's especially impressive that she did all of that after taking my 8-month-old puppy for two days while my partner and I recovered from a long week of illness. Plus she just looked super cute!

Ella and I have been friends for a dozen years, since 2011 when she moved to Austin from Tennessee. She is truly the kindest friend I have (and I assume that many other people have, too! She is always willing to help with whatever anyone needs.

One thing I've struggled with in photography is confidence. It seems no matter how many webinars I watch or books I read or YouTube tutorials I watch, nothing makes up for good, old-fashioned experience. Enter: friends and family willing to model for you.

Indoors, especially, I've had a steep learning curve for learning indoor lighting. That makes indoor practice sessions especially important!

So a big thanks to Ella for making my job easier by being a patient and beautiful model! 👏👏👏
