Graduation is a huge milestone, and your senior photos should reflect your personality, style, and achievements! To help you prepare, I’ve compiled answers to the most common questions about senior photo sessions. Let’s make this an unforgettable experience!

What Can I Expect on the Day of My Session?

I love making your portrait session fun and relaxed! Upon arrival, we’ll review your outfit choices, discuss any last-minute details, and start shooting. Each outfit typically takes 20-30 minutes, and we’ll move between locations as needed. My goal is for you to walk away saying, “That was so much fun!”

Can I Bring Props to My Session?

Absolutely! Props add a personal touch and showcase your interests. Whether it’s sports gear, musical instruments, or college apparel, I’ll help incorporate them naturally. I’ll ask about any props in your pre-session questionnaire so we can plan accordingly. Not sure about props? No worries—your photos will still shine without them.

When and How Do I Pay?

A 50% deposit is required to book your session, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your shoot. Payments can be made securely online via the invoice I send or through Venmo.

Should I Get My Hair and Makeup Done Professionally?

I highly recommend it! Professional hair and makeup enhance your final images and give you extra confidence. Need recommendations? Just ask—I’m happy to help.

What If I Wake Up with a Breakout on Picture Day?

Don’t stress! Minor blemishes will be retouched during editing, so you’ll look flawless in your photos.

I Wear Glasses. Will That Be an Issue?

Not at all! To avoid glare, I recommend removing the lenses if possible. Many optometrists can assist with this.

How Many Outfits Should I Bring?

The number of outfits depends on your package. While variety is great, I want to maximize your session time for stunning portraits—not outfit changes.

Where Will My Session Take Place?

We’ll collaborate to choose a location with the best lighting and aesthetic for your portraits. Locations beyond 30 miles from Austin, TX, may have additional travel fees.

How Long Will My Session Last?

Session length depends on your selected package, but trust me—the time will fly by!

What Happens If the Austin Weather Doesn’t Cooperate?

Ah, Austin weather—always keeping us on our toes! We’ll only reschedule if necessary, and I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

What Should I Wear to My Session?

I’ll provide a style guide to help you choose outfits that complement your personality and photograph beautifully.

Is There Anything I Should Avoid Wearing?

Wear outfits that feel authentic to you. Avoid anything uncomfortable or unflattering. When in doubt, opt for colors and styles that make you feel amazing.

Can We Incorporate Ideas I Found on Pinterest?

Of course! Share your inspiration in your pre-session questionnaire—I love bringing your vision to life.

Will I Receive Digital Images?

Yes! All packages include digital files for you to download and enjoy.

How Long Will You Keep My Images?

I typically store images for 6-9 months. I recommend downloading them as soon as you receive them to ensure you always have access.

How Will I Access My Images?

Your edited photos will be delivered via a private online gallery within three weeks of your session.

Can I Use My Images for My School Yearbook?

Definitely! You can download and submit your image or ask me to send it directly to your yearbook staff.

Where Will I Change Outfits During the Session?

I provide a portable changing tent for quick and easy outfit changes. You can also use your vehicle if you prefer.

What Should I Bring to My Session?

Here’s a quick checklist:

  • Outfit changes (including shoes and accessories!)

  • Hair and makeup touch-up supplies

  • Any props you’d like to include

  • A parent or friend for support

  • A great attitude!

Can I Share My Senior Photos on Social Media?

Absolutely! I love seeing your images online. Please tag or credit me when sharing, and avoid screenshotting (which reduces image quality).

Can I Split My Session into Two Days?

I don’t currently offer split sessions, but I can help you incorporate different seasonal looks into one session.

How Will My Yearbook Photo Be Submitted?

You can send your chosen image directly to your school’s yearbook staff, or I can handle it for you—just let me know!

Can I Bring a Parent or Friend to My Session?

Yes! Bringing someone along is encouraged. They can help with small tasks and even make you laugh for candid shots.

Do You Photograph in a Studio or Outdoors?

I specialize in natural light and outdoor settings, which provide the perfect backdrop for stunning, authentic portraits.

Your senior photo session is all about celebrating you! If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out—I can’t wait to capture this exciting milestone with you!
